Efeito antifúngico do extrato hidroalcoólico de Tropaeolum majus L. frente a dermatófitos causadores de Tinea pedis

As micoses superficiais são infecções cutâneas frequentes, e a tinea pedis está principalmente associada a dermatófitos como Trichophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes e Epidermophyton floccosum. Embora os antifúngicos sintéticos constituam o tratamento padrão, as recorrências, os efeitos adversos e a redução da sensibilidade fúngica têm motivado a avaliação de alternativas de origem vegetal. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito antifúngico do extrato hidroalcoólico das flores de Tropaeolum majus L. sobre o crescimento in vitro de T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes e E. floccosum. Foi realizado um estudo experimental comparativo. Cinco extratos foram preparados por maceração utilizando gradientes de etanol de 65°, 70°, 80°, 85° e 90°. A atividade antifúngica foi determinada pelos métodos de difusão em disco (Kirby–Bauer) e difusão em poço em ágar, utilizando clotrimazol como controle positivo e água destilada como controle negativo. A resposta foi avaliada pelo diâmetro do halo de inibição e pela ausência de crescimento visível na área de difusão. Os resultados evidenciaram inibição do crescimento das três espécies em todos os extratos avaliados, com concordância entre ambas as técnicas e comportamento reprodutível nas réplicas. Em conjunto, os achados sustentam o potencial terapêutico de T. majus como fonte de compostos bioativos com possível aplicação no tratamento de micoses superficiais e respaldam sua consideração como alternativa fitoterápica complementar em cenários que buscam reduzir a dependência de antifúngicos sintéticos ou enfrentar problemas relacionados à resistência e acessibilidade.
